The Fedare Refuge is a balcony overlooking the lunar landscape of the Giau Pass, which is one of the most beautiful passes in the Dolomites.
Open all year round, it is situated next to the Fedare chairlift, which allows you to reach on skis the 5 Torri, Mount Lagazuoi, the Badia Valley and the entire Dolomiti Superski carousel. This is one of the immensely popular refuges along the ski tours Super8 and The Great War, not least because of the breathtaking view and the excellent cuisine of Ivan Troi and his mother, Anna.
The surrounding area is great for mountain biking and is an excellent starting point for hikes to the 5 Torri area and Mount Pore. In winter, the same routes can be hiked with snowshoes.
From the terrace of the refuge, you can admire the performances of the snowkiters practising this brand new and exciting sport that uses the driving force of the wind.
The refuge has four en suite rooms with a bath, furnished in a cosy mountain style, from which you can admire the sunset and the incredibly starry sky at high altitude without any light pollution.
