Cinque Torri Refuge

Built in 1902, the Cinque Torri mountain hut is a popular destination for mountain lovers from all over the world.

It is nestled in a breathtaking natural setting, picturesquely situated on the south side at the foot of the 5 Torri. Thanks to the central position, all  important spots in the area are within reach: the countless climbing crags and routes on the rock faces of the 5 Torri, the WW1 open-air museum, the mountain refuges Rifugio Scoiattoli, Rifugio Nuvolau and Baita Bai de Dones,  the peak of Mt. Nuvolau and the Via Ferrata Averau.

You can easily get a glimpse of the romantic atmosphere at the time of the first mountaineers who explored the Dolomites thanks to the "cuisine of former times" of Massimo "Lelo", the chef of the refuge. His Casunziei stuffed with seasonal vegetables - beetroot, peppers, potatoes, squash and more - and the ricotta strudel and rigorously homemade bread are not to be missed.

The Cinque Torri Refuge opens only in summer.

*Please note: The road to the refuge is closed to vehicle traffic from 10 July to 15 September 2024 for resurfacing work. A paid shuttle service will be operated during the month of August.

Events throughout the year

The Cinque Torri Refuge is a member of the Cortina Delicious Team, a consortium that organizes all kinds of events throughout the year: high altitude concerts, parties on the panoramic terraces, exhibitions and meetings in the cultural centres of the area, historical re-enactments in the museums of WWI, sports competitions, themed dinners and photo competitions and solidarity events.
