This easy route takes around two and a half hours* and leads through one of the most fascinating areas of this region. It is also ideal for those who undertake their first snowshoe hike.

Magical Giau Pass

A circular one-hour snowshoe hiking tour on pristine snow-covered paths in the magnificent backdrop of the Giau Alpine Pass at the foot of Mt. Averau. The path follows the route of the Ciasparun, a popular snowshoe race now in its 10th edition, that every year attracts many fans of this magical lunar landscape.

Snowshoeing to the 5 Torri

Start at the Baita Bai de Dones refuge on snowshoes, hike to the Scoiattoli refuge and the 5 Torri, both known for their characteristic bizarre shape. It is an easy excursion of around an hour and a half *, which is simply fascinating due to the variety of attractions. In just over an hour, you can walk around a frozen lake, cross a white-clad magical forest and reach the very best viewpoints on the majestic Dolomite walls.

Snowshoe hike to the

With this snowshoe hike, you can reach an altitude of 2,575 metres above sea level in less than one hour*. This not particularly demanding route begins at the Averau refuge and leads to the Nuvolau refuge, known as the Eagle's Nest because it towers majestically on the summit of Mount Nuvolau and offers a breathtaking view.
