The Lorenzi family of the Scoiattoli Refuge has come up with a really original way to delight the guests: a warm bath in a wooden open air bathtub continuously heated by a wood stove. During the bath, they serve croutons and champagne. Please note: The wooden open air bathtub of the Scoiattoli refuge is an extra service for guests who have booked an overnight stay in the Scoiattoli hut and must be booked in advance. Star gazing dinner
At an altitude of 2416 meters, the terrace of the Averau Refuge is a privileged place for stargazing. Thanks to professional telescopes and the total absence of artificial light, up there it is possible to observe the celestial objects from a privileged point of view, immersed in the silence of the Dolomites.
It is no coincidence that every year the “Star gazing dinner” event takes place right here. It is an evening organized by the Siorpaes family in collaboration with the Astronomitaly association that includes a delicious dinner and the observation of the firmament with a telescope. Experienced amateur astronomers accompany the participants on a veritable trip into space.

The winning recipe: tasty food, romantic atmosphere, emotions at high altitude Ascent with the floodlit 5 Torri chairlift, dinner in a mountain refuge and descent with the snowmobile. Every Friday and Saturday, from December until the end of the season, the Scoiattoli and Averau refuges organize a truly unique experience combining sports at night, taste and a starry sky. The ascent by night with a chair lift and the dinner are followed by a tête-à-tête with the moon and a bit of thrill while the snowmobile takes you back down to the valley.
