How to get to the 5 Torri

The 5 Torri area lies in the heart of the Dolomites betweeen the Giau and Falzarego passes

Here is some information about connections with the most important Italian and European cities.

By car

  • From Venice: take the A27 motorway and then the Alemagna 51 state road. Once you arrive in Cortina d’Ampezzo, continue on the Great Dolomites Road - SS 48 towards the Falzarego Pass.
  • From Milan: take the A4 motorway, then, at Verona, the A22 Brenner motorway and follow it up to Ponte Gardena. After passing the Gardena Pass and the Badia Valley, you reach the Valparola pass and, from there, the Falzarego Pass.
  • From Munich and Innsbruck: take the A22 Brenner motorway up to Bressanone and continue towards the Puster Valley. At San Lorenzo, take the road to Val Badia and drive on to La Villa. From there, proceed to San Cassiano, the Valparola Pass and thus reach the Falzarego Pass.
  • From Eastern Austria (East Tyrol) -Lienz: once in Dobbiaco, take the state road 51 d'Alemagna to Cortina d’Ampezzo. From there, continue on the Great Dolomites Road - SS 48 towards the Falzarego Pass.

By bus
During the tourist seasons, in this area there are public transport services run by the following companies:

By plane
You can fly to Cortina via Venice, Milan and Munich. Some flight connections also include landings at the airports in Verona and Treviso.

By train
The two closest train stations are Calalzo di Cadore, south, and Toblach, north of Cortina. The bus connections with Cortina d'Ampezzo are good, especially in the tourist seasons. For more information, please refer to this website: www.trenitalia.com

During the winter season, a taxi service connects the Badia Valley (Hotel Armentarola) and the Falzarego Pass. From the Falzarego Pass, you can reach the 5 Torri on skis and by lift facilities.
